Nylon is wear-resistant and smooth Relyon®511 is a masterbatch containing 50% of an ultra-high molecular weight siloxane polymer dispersed in a proprietary polyamide 6 (PA6) resin. Relyon®511 was designed for use in PA6 and compatible systems. Other loading levels are available upon request.

When Relyon® 511 is added at 0.5% to 1.5% during processing, the masterbatch enhances the processing of PP by lowering torque and back pressure in an extruder. In an injection molding machine, Relyon® 511 improves polymer flow so that there is higher weld line strength, improved part filling, and lower cycle time.
At higher addition levels of 2% to 10%, Relyon® 511 improves surface properties including lower coefficient of friction, increased hydrophobicity, and greater mar and abrasion resistance.
